Recently the students from Omokoroa Point School ventured down the road to check out a small swampy area called “Nell’s Dell”. Students assessed the stream visually and recorded their findings: predominately a raupo infested swampy area, which has recently had a drain dug out around the perimeter. The students also tested the water temperature, pH, clarity and searched for invertebrates. Unsurprisingly the invertebrates they found were of the unhealthy variety.
